The City of Cairo! I have arrived..... People, polluted air, the sounds of car horns known as the "music of Cairo", surrounded by beautiful Mosques and Minarets, Coptic churches, and the smell of spices and food!

Upon arrival I was able to spend some time in the city, which included the local market, Islamic Cairo and Coptic Cairo. All of which are some of the oldest parts of the city.

Islamic Cairo included several very old Mosques surrounded by small alley ways-labyrinths to wonder through. Each path led to a different Mosque (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Cairo).

Coptic Cairo is near Islamic Cairo off the metro station. A lovely museum is the best way to observe relics from this time frame. The area encompasses several, large Christian churches and a synagogue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coptic_Cairo).

These areas are rich with history and important to the people of Cairo and Egypt.

The desert, the lovely New Mexican desert, that is my home. I prepare to leave it and adventure on into other deserts and cultures. Here the rather famous three legged dog and I walk in the country side in celebration of great things!
